To Cowboy Up is to recognize the changes that need to take place in our lives. This includes our need to grow up. If we aren’t willing to acknowledge this, we are running the risk of operating in a “Peter Pan Syndrome” where we simply don’t want to grow up and remain a child in the way we behave. The only problem with this is that God is actually calling us to grow up. We dive into Paul’s letter to Timothy where he encourages him to live his life in a way that causes others to overlook his youth so that they will listen and hear from God. How do we do this? How do we have our convictions overcome our personality so that we can grow up and impact others in our life?

 

 

Susie first tells us about the National Day of Prayer that is happening on May 6th. Which is called “Lord Pour Out Your Love, Life, and Liberty.” Information to come about what MCC will be doing!

Susie takes us to a flyer that we have in our information rack called “Father’s Love Letter” which tells us of our value in God’s eyes and how much He loves us. So much that Jesus came to show us His love and sacrifice His life for us. He desires to be with us and He’s waiting for us!

Father, we long for, not just for respect, but we long to be used by you. We know for that to happen that we have to accept the responsibility of self-control and self-discipline. We have to be willing to grow up. Help us to reflect that in the way that we live a life that honors You.

During April we learned about Easter and the Resurrection of Jesus. In May we are going to discuss the importance of Moms while going through the stories in the Bible. Be sure to check out the Bible Verse Flowers in the lobby. Memorize and get a prize! The toddlers learned about how Jesus appeared to the disciples after the resurrection. The toddlers will be learning about the church and how important it is in our lives. Our verse will be Acts 2:44​!
