Father, we need your help. We thought we could do it on our own, but we’ve proven to ourselves over and over again that we just can’t. Many times, we only make matters worse. We dig the hole deeper; we build the wall higher, and we get further and further away from You, and harder and harder of heart towards you. Thank you for the opportunities that the circumstances of our life that you create for us to soften our hearts and to make us look again to you this week. Especially today, right now, in the following moments. I ask that You work on the hearts and in the minds of those who’ve heard the words of Habakkuk today. That they might consider again how they need to wait, and listen, and depend on what You said. Father, thank you for your guidance, thank you for the hope that it brings that we can move out of this slump and move on toward a spiritual maturity with you. In Jesus’ name, we give you thanks, Amen.
