All that we can control is what’s happening within the length of our arms. The only way that we can make a difference is to stop demanding our own rights for the sake of others. That’s when our faith is no longer just what we believe but actually what we’re willing to live.

 

Deb takes us through Exodus 12, Mark 14, and Romans 6 telling us about the lamb that would be sacrificed and the blood that would be put on the door frames of the Israelites to protect them from the angel of death. Jesus, in the same manner, was sacrificed for our sins and freed us from death. As we take communion let’s be mindful of the blood that was shed for us and the sacrifice that Jesus did for us.

Father you know how comfortable faith gets for us when it’s just something we do together as a church and not something that we find ourselves compelled to put into practice with the “problem people” in our personal life. Thank you for your grace. Help us to give it in the same measure that we have received it from you. Amen
