This week as we transition to recording live services we decided to pull a message from last May, “Resetting The Vision On Church”  As quarantines start to lift how do we reset the church?
We do this by…
1. Resetting our Devotion to Apostles’ Teaching [words of Jesus]
2. Resetting our Devotion to Communion
3. Resetting our Devotion to Each Other
4. Resetting our Devotion to Prayer

 

 

Our Elder, Bryan Butler, takes us to Matthew 15 where Jesus exposes the Pharisee’s need for “appearances” and instead tells him that it’s not what goes into the mouth but what comes out of the mouth that can defile a man. He exposes their heart.

Father, thank you, thank you, thank you for not leaving us on our own. As much as we run away, you continue to pursue us until we find again ourselves overcome by your love and your persistent grace. May we hit that reset button of commitment to you in our life as well. Thank you for the chance to start fresh again.

During April we learned about Easter and the Resurrection of Jesus. In May we are going to discuss the importance of Moms while going through the stories in the Bible. Be sure to check out the Bible Verse Flowers in the lobby. Memorize and get a prize! The toddlers learned about how Jesus appeared to the disciples after the resurrection. The toddlers will be learning about the church and how important it is in our lives. Our verse will be Acts 2:44​!
We will have an end-of-school-year party in June… details to come!
