Music by Jonas Myrin and Matt Redman

CHORUS Bless the Lord, Oh my soul Oh my soul, worship his holy name Sing like never before, Oh my soul I’ll worship your holy name

VERSE The sun comes up, it’s a new day dawning It’s time to sing your song again Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me Let me be singing when the evening comes

VERSE You’re rich in love and You’re slow to anger Your name is great and Your heart is kind For all Your goodness, I will keep on singing Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find

VERSE And on that day when my strength is failing The end draws near and my time has come Still my soul will sing Your praise unending Ten thousand years and then forevermore

MESSAGE

What’s The Big Deal About Church?

Did you know that church is a big deal to God? Ed not only lets us know all the ways it is a big deal to God but also all the ways it is a big deal to us!
COMMUNION MEDITATION

Presented by Bo Johnstone

“No Greater Love”

Bo Johnstone, an officer in the US Army, Army Reserves and State of Ohio Defense Forces for over twenty years. He is also a historian and teaches making living history presentations. He brings this to us in his communion meditation, “No Greater Love” as he is wearing the uniform of his 1945 persona. 2020 marks the 75th anniversary of the end of World War Two.

John 15:13 “Greater love has no one than this than to lay down one’s life for his friends.”

“Fierce”
Music by Chris Quilala, Joshua Silverberg, and Mia Fieldes

VERSE Before I call, Before I ever cry You answer me, From where the thunder hides I can’t outrun, This heart I’m tethered to When every step, I collide with You

CHORUS Like a tidal wave, Crashing over me Rushing in to meet me here, Your love is fierce Like a hurricane, That I can’t escape Tearing through the atmosphere, Your love is fierce

VERSE You cannot fail, The only thing I’ve found Is through it all, You never let me down You don’t hold back, Relentless in pursuit At every turn, I come face to face with You

BRIDGE You chase me down, You seek me out How can I be lost when You have called me found

PRAYER

Father, thank you for the opportunity to experience your grace and your patience. May we make full use of your grace and your patience to actually start to show that we get it that we start to become changed, different, walking a new way, no longer in darkness, denying who we’ve been, but instead with a deliberate intention to become light, like you. Help his father. Fill us with your spirit. Give us your strength and your wisdom, that we might live out our convictions. In Jesus name, we pray, Amen.

Building Our House on the Rock!

Alyx talks about Jesus telling us about building our house on the rock vs. building it on the sand.

This week’s questions: 1. When Jesus was talking about building our house on the rock, who was he talking about? 2. What can we do to build our house on the rock? 3. Who in our life helps us build our house on the rock?
